I went to Buffalo this past weekend with my girls… and 100 guys. One of my friend’s BF organizes this trip every year. It was a blast. We didn’t really get any sleep. We got up at 6:30am on Saturday morning, had breakfast with everyone and got to Buffalo around 3-4pm. We went to dinner and then clubbing on Chippewa St until 3-4am. We didn’t sleep. Our wake-up call was at 6:30am on Sunday and then we headed to the Bills stadium to start tailgating. We went to the game and were back on the bus after. We stopped for food and then got held up at customs for about an hour. I got home at 3:00am on Monday morning, fell asleep around 3:30am and got up for work at 6:00am. I took today off because I was exhausted. Aaaaand I’m going out tonight.
I’m enjoying my life A LOT right now. Things are good… actually, things are great. I need to slow down a bit on the spending and save up a bit. I guess I just keep thinking about the fact that my house is going to sell soon and that I’ll be able to pay off everything in one shot. I’m dumb.
new car smell
For the past month I’ve been using one of my parent’s car(s) to get around as my car’s front passenger tire had exploded on me. I had just been too busy with work and school to give a shit about the crappy car. It just wasn’t one tire that needed to be replaced either–the [...]
For the past month I’ve been using one of my parent’s car(s) to get around as my car’s front passenger tire had exploded on me. I had just been too busy with work and school to give a shit about the crappy car. It just wasn’t one tire that needed to be replaced either–the other three were essentially bald and a huge hazard when driving (especially when it rained–I would hydroplane the entire time!)
So today I finally caved in and threw a spare on, and went up to Discount Tire to get a new set of tires for the Escort. The quote they gave me over the phone was for $317 including lifetime warrant on the tires as well as rotations and repairs. When I got there I was given a price for $440 and nearly shit myself. Turns out he was going to put on 185/60-15 tires, rather than 190/60-15 (those numbers are just the tire sizes my car has.) Talk about a huge difference! The other sad part is that if the tires were 14″ rather than 15″, I’d have paid almost $139 less!
I’m just happy that my car can finally ride smooth again; Hopefully this will also help with the gas mileage. I’ve gotten a chance to take out my mom’s 2008 Ford Escape Hybrid, and let me tell you that I am horribly jealous that she can get over 500 miles to a tank of gas. I think the last decent mileage I got was about 320′ish miles to the tank. Hopefully I’ll be able to part with that sometime next year.
I’ve been debating with myself (and discussing with my dad) the prospect of getting a new car. I need to get rid of my car since I’m at 108,000 miles and I’ve put way too much money into it to fix it up (and it’s still not that great.) I’m probably going to aim towards getting a Scion XA. I’m not too set on it right now, but I definitely want to get a small car, and either brand new or slightly used (as in no more then 20,000 miles.)
I’m still months ahead of myself right now, as I want to wait until at least May or June of next year. My priority right now is pretty much for moving into the townhouse myself and some friends have been looking around for awhile right now.
Looking for money for school?
If you’re like me (a college student), you’re probably looking to get some funding to pay for tuition, books, and anything else that you need for your classes. I ended up finding a website that’s having a $50,000 College Education Sweepstakes. Pretty sweet? Anyway, it’s being sponsored by Proctor and Gamble or rather two different [...]

I ended up finding a website that’s having a $50,000 College Education Sweepstakes. Pretty sweet? Anyway, it’s being sponsored by Proctor and Gamble or rather two different Soap Operas.
You just have to watch some episodes of Guiding Light and As The World Turns, and on Nov 21 by 6pm PST, you have to answer a couple of questions from the episodes and then you can submit yourself for the sweepstakes. Check out the link above for more information, and a reminder newsletter for the sweepstakes.
Orly?
I packed Brian’s lunch for work earlier because I wanted to.
Here are my thoughts on packing lunches:
The opposite sex should pack their own lunch no matter how hard they work. Just because I am a woman and a stay at home mom it doesn’t mean I have to make lunches for him. This goes for [...]

Here are my thoughts on packing lunches:
The opposite sex should pack their own lunch no matter how hard they work. Just because I am a woman and a stay at home mom it doesn’t mean I have to make lunches for him. This goes for all women out there. The opposite sex is stupid. Period.
ANYWHO,
His mom is the one who always packs his lunches. I mean always. It kind of gets really annoying. It almost makes me look bad like she’s thinking, “Hey, I’m his mother. I do everything for him because he is my baby boy. What the hell do you do for him?” Kind of like that. Brian’s old enough to make his own damn lunch, alright? I know for a fact when Adrien gets older I will not ask him what he wants for his lunch. That’s just pretty ridiculous.
I’m getting off the subject.
So, I made his lunch, and inside I stuck a piece of paper that says “I <3 U” on it.
I hope he likes it.
I wanted to do something sweet.
Dentemp OS

For the past two weeks I’ve been in a lot of different pains with my wisdom tooth being impacted, and then to having it removed. Let me tell you that I have not enjoyed myself fully these past two weeks. It’s been almost a week since my wisdom tooth was removed, but since it still hurts I’ve been looking for something to help ease the pain.
Prior to the wisdom tooth I never really had any major issues with my teeth for the past few years. In 2004, I was in a car accident (a car hit me), and I ended up getting some temporary crowns until I got the settlement that would eventually pay for my veneers. I’m not sure how it happened but one of the caps ended up coming off (again, it was temporary) but I didn’t have time to go to the dentist, so I ended up just not wearing it at all.
The other day I came across Dentemp OS, and really wish I would’ve known about this back then (or rather hope it was available then.) I would’ve been able to have a temporary fixit for my tooth, rather than having my chipped tooth show through. Trust me, I hated the fact that my chipped tooth was showing (mainly because it was my front tooth). I just didn’t smile as much because of it either!
I was also looking around through their website and saw that they also sell pain relief swabs to help with toothaches. I wish I would’ve seen this last week because I would’ve ordered some for the pain I’ve been in for the past week from having the tooth pulled. I’m going to the dentist on Tuesday and hopefully they can explain why I still have pain; If they don’t give me a prescription and/or resolve the ache, I’ll definitely order the wax from them.
I’m also want to get their swordfloss stuff. I hate flossing with the regular tape for flossing. Actually scratch that, I just hate flossing in general. But I actually like the method they’ve got, and maybe I’ll actually stick to flossing more often with something like this.
